One way you can help protect and restore the health
of the world's lakes is by making a tax-deductible
contribution to LakeNet. More information about giving
opportunities is provided below.
Giving Opportunities
Adopt-a-Lake
There are many of us who love a particular lake because
it is associated with wonderful times with family
and friends - dating back to childhood. Many of us
are also interested in helping out a lake in another
part of the world. With a gift of $50 or more, you
and/or your family members can 'adopt' your favorite
lake by designating your support in its honor.
LakeNet will create a profile of the lake (if one
does not already exist) and feature a link to the
lake profile on the website. Adopt your favorite lake
or select from among the more than 8,000 lakes in
our searchable, online database.
World Lakes Partner
With a gift of $100 or more, individuals, families
and organizations can honor a particular lake-related
organization as a World Lakes Partner. LakeNet will
create a featured link, including a logo for your
favorite watershed group, lake association, professional
society or government agency, in the Links
section of the LakeNet website.
Corporate Sponsors
In 2004, LakeNet signed an agreement with its first
corporate sponsor and established a corporate sponsorship
program to create an opportunity for private companies
to support our work. Corporate sponsorships of $1,000
or more are acknowledged on LakeNet's website. Click
here for more information about becoming a corporate
sponsor.
Friends
You can join our Friends program by making a contribution
of any size to LakeNet. Support from Friends like
you makes the work of the network possible!
